Structured wiring, enterprise-grade home networks, Luma camera systems and DoorBird entry, designed into Los Angeles new builds and full renovations.
Buzo Electric Co designs and installs home networking and security cameras in Los Angeles, CA as part of complete new builds, full renovations, and estate upgrades. We are a C-10 electrical contractor and integrator, so the structured wiring, the rack, the enterprise-grade network, the Luma camera system, and the DoorBird entry station come from one licensed firm. You get a network engineered at rough-in, cameras placed before drywall closes, and a system your Control4 or Josh AI automation can actually use.
We start with the plans. On a new build or full renovation we work design-build with the architect, GC, or AV consultant to locate the head end, size the rack, and map every camera, access point, and drop. Load calculation and circuit planning for the rack happen here, not after the fact.
Our crews pull the structured wiring while the framing is open: camera runs, access point drops, DoorBird cabling, and conduit to exterior positions that are hard to reach later. Because we hold the C-10, the line voltage and low voltage go in on one coordinated schedule.
After drywall and paint, we trim out the devices: cameras aimed and focused, access points mounted, DoorBird set at the entry, and the rack assembled, powered, and terminated at the head end.
We configure the network, bring the Luma system online, and program the integration with Control4 or Josh AI. Before we leave, you see every camera feed, answer the DoorBird from a touch panel and from the app, and walk through the documentation for the system.
The honest cost drivers are scope and structure. Camera count and placement matter most: a four-camera perimeter is a different project than full estate coverage with gate, motor court, and interior zones. Square footage and construction type drive the network side, since a 12,000-square-foot home with plaster walls needs more access points and more careful pathways than open framing on a new build.
Cabling distance and access shape labor. Long runs to a gate, trenching for an exterior camera position, and retrofit pulls through finished walls all add hours. The rack itself scales with the project: switch port count, recorder storage, and whether the head end also carries video distribution and control processors. Finally, integration depth matters; cameras that simply record cost less to deliver than cameras tied into scenes, entry automation, and voice control.
We do not publish figures because no two projects share a scope. Send us the plans or describe the property, and we will return a concrete, line-item proposal.
Buzo Electric Co is the integrator-electrician: the one firm on the project that holds the C-10 license and programs the Control4 or Josh AI system. On a networking and camera project that means the dedicated circuits for the rack, the structured wiring, the Luma recorder, and the automation programming are one scope with one point of responsibility. CSLB C-10 #1048529, bonded, with workers' comp.
We sell whole systems and whole projects: new construction, full renovations, estate upgrades, and commercial build-outs. Architects, interior designers, GCs, and AV consultants work with us as the technical trade on the drawings; homeowners work with us as the firm that explains exactly what gets installed, where, and why. We specify by brand and model line, show the load calculation, and document the rack.
Our shop is in West Adams, beside Culver City, and we build across the Westside and beyond: Beverly Hills, Santa Monica, Malibu, Pacific Palisades, Brentwood, Bel Air, West Hollywood, Culver City, Marina del Rey, Venice, Calabasas, Hidden Hills, and Manhattan Beach.
Yes, for anything that stays in one place. Cameras, access points, displays, and the rack perform better on wire, and the access points that create your Wi-Fi need wired backhaul to do their job. Structured wiring at rough-in costs a fraction of opening finished walls later.
Yes, and that is the point of having one firm do both. We program Control4 and Josh AI ourselves, so a Luma camera or DoorBird event can trigger a scene, appear on a touch panel, or route to the smart home app on your phone. The cameras become part of the system rather than a separate product you check in isolation.
On a network video recorder at the head end, on your own network. Local recording means footage stays on site and does not depend on an internet connection to capture events. You can still view live and recorded video remotely through the app.
Because every camera stream, every scene command, and every app session rides on it. An enterprise-grade network with managed switching and properly placed access points keeps camera traffic from degrading the rest of the house. Consumer gear tends to fail first under camera load.
No. New builds and full renovations are the ideal time because walls are open at rough-in, but we also design networks and camera systems into estate upgrades. On a retrofit we plan pathways first and tell you exactly which runs are practical before any work starts.
DoorBird is a network video intercom for the gate or front door. It integrates with Control4 and Josh AI, so a press at the gate rings through to keypads, touch panels, and your phone, with video. It belongs on the same engineered network as the cameras, which is why we design them together.
If you are planning a new build, a renovation, or an estate upgrade and want home networking and security cameras in Los Angeles, CA engineered into the project from the drawings forward, call us or request a proposal. Send the plans if you have them. We will review the scope, walk you through the design, and return a line-item proposal with brands, model lines, and a wiring plan you can hand to the rest of the project team.
