Lutron RadioRA 3 and HomeWorks lighting control with Sivoia motorized shades, designed, wired and programmed for high-end Los Angeles homes.
Buzo Electric Co designs, wires, and programs Lutron lighting control and shades in Los Angeles, CA, for high-end homes and commercial spaces. We install Lutron RadioRA 3 and HomeWorks lighting control with Sivoia QS motorized shades, and because we hold the C-10 electrical license, the same firm that runs the rough-in also programs the keypads and the scenes. You get one accountable contractor from load calculation to trim-out, and a system where every dimmer, keypad, and shade works the way the drawings said it would.
We start with the plans. Working with you, your architect, or your interior designer, we map every lighting load, confirm the service can carry the system, and decide the platform: HomeWorks, RadioRA 3, or Caseta. Shade openings get measured and the fabric, hembar, and pocket details get specified before anything is ordered.
On new construction and renovations, we run the line voltage, the low voltage, and the shade power during framing. HomeWorks panel locations, keypad backboxes, and shade wiring all go in at rough-in, coordinated with the GC's schedule. This is where an integrator who holds the C-10 earns its keep: no second trade, no missed wire.
After paint, we set the dimming panels, mount the keypads, and hang the Sivoia shades. Fabric alignment, hembar level, and keypad engraving all get checked against the design documents.
We program every scene: the morning scene that raises the shades and brings kitchen lights to 80 percent, the evening scene that drops the roller shades and warms the living room, the all-off at the front door. Timeclock events, astronomic sunset triggers, and vacation modes get built in.
We walk the house with you, adjust levels and shade limits on the spot, and document the system. Because we programmed it, changes later are a call to the firm that built it, not a search for whoever can read someone else's file.
The platform drives the first number. HomeWorks with centralized dimming panels is a different scope than wireless RadioRA 3, and Caseta sits below both. Load count matters: a house with 40 controlled circuits needs more panel capacity, more keypads, and more programming time than one with 15.
Shades carry their own variables. Opening count and width, fabric selection, blackout versus light-filtering, dual brackets, recessed pockets, and whether power was planned at rough-in all move the scope. A motorized blackout shade in a finished bedroom with no wiring in the wall is a different job than the same shade pocketed during construction.
Construction phase is the last factor. Wiring lighting control and shade power during a new build or renovation costs less than retrofitting a finished house, which is one reason specifiers bring us in at the drawing stage. Send us your plans or a room list and we will return a concrete, itemized proposal for your project.
Buzo Electric Co is the integrator-electrician: a C-10 electrical contractor that also designs and programs the control systems it wires. On a Lutron project that means one firm owns the load calculation, the rough-in, the dimming panels, the keypads, the shades, and the programming. Nothing falls between an electrician and an AV company, because we are both.
We work from our shop in West Adams across Los Angeles, including Beverly Hills, Bel Air, Pacific Palisades, Brentwood, Santa Monica, Malibu, Calabasas, Hidden Hills, and Manhattan Beach, on new builds, full renovations, estate upgrades, and commercial build-outs. Architects, interior designers, and GCs get a single point of contact who speaks both trades: circuit counts and panel schedules on one page, scene design and keypad engraving on the next.
We quote whole systems, not line items in isolation. You see the platform, the load count, the shade schedule, and the programming scope before work starts, so the number on the proposal matches the system on the wall. Buzo Electric Co, owner Aaron Buzo, CSLB C-10 #1048529, bonded, workers' comp.
They are three tiers of the same lighting control family. Caseta suits a handful of rooms or a smaller home; RadioRA 3 is a wireless whole-home system with scene keypads and shade control; HomeWorks is the centralized flagship for estates, with dimming panels at the head end and the deepest design options. We specify the tier that matches your load count, your floor plan, and your budget for the project.
Yes. Sivoia motorized shades run on the same Lutron platform as the dimmers and keypads, so one button can lower the shades and set the lights together. That is the difference between motorized blinds with a remote and an engineered system: the shade is part of the scene, not a separate gadget.
Yes. Sivoia shades are available in wired and battery-powered versions, so a finished house does not require opening walls at every window. Where we can run power, wired motorized roller shades remove battery maintenance; where we cannot, battery drives keep the install clean.
Yes. We install motorized blackout shades with side channels and dual-shade brackets that pair a blackout fabric with a sheer, so one opening handles both daylight and full dark. In theaters and primary bedrooms we detail the pocket at rough-in so no light leaks around the edges.
Yes. We program Lutron alongside Control4 and Josh AI, so a spoken command or a single keypad press can run lights, shades, and AV together. Because one firm programs all three systems, the integration is designed, not patched together.
Not always. RadioRA 3 dimmers and a Lutron smart switch install in existing backboxes, which makes a wireless system workable in a finished home. HomeWorks with centralized panels calls for dedicated wiring, which is why we design it during new construction or a full renovation.
Send us your plans, your shade schedule, or a list of rooms, and we will return a specific proposal: platform, load count, keypad layout, and shade specifications. If your project is in design, reach out before rough-in so the wiring goes in once and goes in right.
